Aisha Blasts Buhari For Not Attending Benue Mass Burial

Aisha Yesufu, the co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls blasted President Muhammadu Buhari for not going to the mass burial of Benue casualties slaughtered by Fulani Herdsmen. The presence of Buhari was expected at the burial of the 75 individuals murdered by Fulani herders in Logo and Guma LGAs of the state. Why The President Paid #40 Million To All Former Presidents - SGF Revealed

While speaking at the 2018 budget defence session before members of the Senate committee on Federal Character and Inter-Governmental Affairs, on Thursday Boss Mustapha, explained why the federal government paid N40 million to former presidents, instead of buying vehicles as prescribed by law. According to Premium Times, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, said the decision was adopted so the former leaders could purchase vehicles they prefer, adding that the former leaders are entitled to the vehicles according to law. He said; They are entitled to that by law. We took a decision that instead of buying these vehicles, we should give them the money and let them buy vehicles of their choices. One of them qualified for it this year and that was why the N40 million was paid. The remaining, hopefully will qualify for it next year or thereabout.

We'll Go Home And Rest If We Lose In 2019 - Amaechi

Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, says if the All Progressives Congress (APC) loses the 2019 elections, it will “go home and rest”. Speaking during a reception organised for him as grand patron of Ikwerre Youth Movement (IYM) in Rivers state, Amaechi said the election will be the party’s last battle. He assured that President Muhammadu Buhari will ensure that the election will be free and fair. Amaechi, who is an ex-governor of the state, said there would no imposition of candidates by the APC during its primaries. He urged the people to register so they can exercise their franchise. “The 2019 elections, especially the governorship, are our last battle. If we win, we will take over Rivers State. President Muhammadu Buhari, has urged the leader of Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, Gani Adams to use his new position as Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land to enhance the unity of Nigeria. Buhari also urged the OPC leader to pursue worthy goals of security and peace among Nigerians. Jan 3, 2018 8:01 PM Minister of Communications, Alhaji Adebayo Shittu, has said President Muhammadu Buhari must seek re-election in 2019. Shittu said though Buhari has not made up his mind to contest in 2019, he has done well so far to seek a second term. Speaking with State House Correspondents at the Presidential Villa, on Wednesday in Abuja after a closed-door meeting with Buhari, the Minister said the President’s ardent supporters would prevail on him to seek re-election. The Minister noted that they would help Buhari to make up his mind so that Nigeria can continue to enjoy stability and progress. He said, “It goes without saying. I mean if you have a child who goes to primary school and he does well; he proceeds to secondary school and he does well, and you keep asking if he will be going to university.
